I’m gearing up for a big week and my brain is spinning with all of the things that I need to catch up on, do, and prep to make it go as smoothly as possible. Lately, it has been difficult to find the balance in my life between head and heart. I’ve been doing so many things that I put myself into a stress response (over imaginary due dates, which is ridiculous). More often than not, I’m letting my brain take the reigns and I need to listen to my heart more, so to help carry me through today (and the rest of the week, really) I’ve made this Lemon balm Rose Tea.
Rose (Rosa spp.) energetically and physically supports the heart. It has a calming effect, soothes the liver, aids in regulating menstruation, and is an anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic.
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) is traditionally used to ease insomnia, anxiety, and overall nervousness. It also offers support for nervous heart with palpitations as well as nervous indigestion.
How can I possibly go wrong with this combination?
